Do not remove any screws that are preinstalled from the vent as this is not needed for installation. The Foam gasket ring is optional for installation and is recommended for glass surfaces. On other surfaces, a waterproof sealant is needed and is not included in the ventilator package. Cutout for the ventilator is 4.75 on our 4D Ventilator and 3.75 on 3D Ventilator. Remove the plastic from the underside of the vent.(this ring will be used at your last step to push the vent into the ceiling) Apply sealant between the guidelines on the underside of the vent. Place the product though the hole from the outside. Use wood or metal screws on the surface of the vent on the designated holes. Use weatherproof screws and it is advisable to use the sealant around the screw holes. Push the fixing plastic ring up the barrel from the inside Your ventilator is ready to use!!!
